5 out of 5 stars versatile professional tool   May 1, 2009

When my decades old Seth Thomas metronome sprung its spring, it was time to move in to the new century. Based on multiple reviews of this instrument and others, I opted for this (and I got the power supply, too, to save batteries). Even though I have not yet used all of the powerful features of this metronome, I love everything about it thus far. It is easy to use. It adjusts in multiple ways, making it fully adaptable to the way and volume level that works best for me to hear and keep the beat. After only a couple of times, I found that I can easily make any adjustments with one hand - not needing to wrangle with the metronome in order to get the setting I need. And I love the "tap" feature that lets me choose the tempo without dialing to the exact beats per second setting. I would highly recommend this fine instrument to any one who is serious about practice.

Does everything you could ever dream in a metronome (except Midi out) :/
Buy one! It's especially good with a DAW cuz you can sync it with midi and then have a nice metronome you can plug into a headphone mixer!

5 out of 5 stars Best Metronome   April 13, 2008

Great metronome. It's a little bulky to carry around, but it's worth it because it does everything to help make your practicing more efficient.

The Metronome has 4 different 'voices' (one is a human voice), pitch generator that plays any pitch in multiple octaves, and easy access to subdivision. The subdivision buttons can do strong beats, off beats, sixteens, triplets, or any combination. In addition, it has the capability to be programed for your unique beat pattern, and much, much more!

5 out of 5 stars A great practice companion!   February 19, 2010

From the moment I first tried this "metronome" out, I fell in love with it. I am a late-life beginner/intermediate level bass player with a very serious attitude toward learning to play.
As with most products, there are a few things more that I would like to be able to do with this,
such as be able to create your own rhythms in "pattern" mode. Also, it would be nice if it it had MIDI out.
But wait! it's a METRONOME not a drum machine. My playing has already improved in the short time I have been using it. Great product!! Bring the jam!!

5 out of 5 stars Perfect for any musician!   April 2, 2010

I cannot be a critic for this product, but I do know that my Grandaughter who is graduating from Eastman School of Music told me she couldn't live without one - therefore I bought it for her Birthday and she loves it. I wish I could be more technical about it. But, if professional musicians want and use the "DB90 Dr. Beat Metronome" I'm sure it must be the best.
