Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
It's portable, reliable, and fun to use - the DB-30 helps musicians take their music to higher levels by offering a set of features that defies its diminutive size. Much more than just a simple timekeeper, this pocket-sized metronome can lay down a variety of rhythm patterns and time feels to practice along with, and it has a few timekeeping tricks up its sleeve as well.Choose Your PatternPick from a menu of nine rhythm types and 24 beat variations, including combinations of odd-time signatures and clave patterns for practicing Latin rhythms. Who says practice has to be painful?

5 out of 5 stars Very, Very Nice!   December 16, 2007

Folks, this does it all. Choosing your tempo is quick and the "tap" feature is huge when making a big time change. It provides both audible (click) and visual (lights and meter) timing cues.

The mute is helpful to quiet it down while still using the visual timing queues and the device retains it's settings when powered down so next time you begin right where you left off.

This device covers various time signatures and I love its ability to sub-divide timing. For example, you can set your main click to 80bpm AND also have a sub-click occurring based upon a fractional note (e.g. eighth, triplets, sixteenth notes, etc.). Very cool!

This item is very useful for my every day drumming needs. It has all the necessary features that a good metronome should have at a fraction of the cost. Great item. I love it!

5 out of 5 stars Just what I needed   October 21, 2007

I had a class with Bass legend Bill " the Buddha " Dickens and one of the many things I needed to have was a metronome. I have had a super mini taktell from willmer for about 35 years. Since Bill is known for his regimented and lenghty training sessions, I needed to have a metronome that could run ALONG time, produce various time signatures on the fly, loud enough to hear over a bass guitar, and strong enough to deal with the rigors of travel. FOUND IT!

This was bought for my son who is a drummer. He loves this little metronome. He says it definitely has volume adjustment, and easily changes click patterns and tempo. He's happy and recommends it to musicians.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent, versatile metronome, convenient, small, great price   December 12, 2006

Price is comparable to metronomes with far fewer functions. Big plusses for me were the good woody click tone instead of electronic beep, adjustible volume, easily adjusted tempos (either tap out or select the tempo), mute button (so you don't have to turn it on and off to pause), reference tone (for tuning up). Multiple rhythms may appeal more to drummers... far more than the rest of us will need. Easy to use for basic and more advanced functions. Did I mention that the price is excllent?
